I’m Mike Wilson. I build things, fix things, and usually end up figuring out how all the moving parts fit together.
For more than two decades, I worked in kitchens and hospitality, eventually leading teams, managing purchasing and inventory, controlling costs, solving operational problems, and keeping complicated systems moving under pressure.
That background taught me how to make decisions quickly, communicate clearly, and build processes that actually work in the real world.
Over time, that same instinct for systems pulled me deeper into technology. I started building tools around problems I already understood, then moved into web development, digital projects, client websites, and larger creative work.
Today, I work across web development, digital systems, media, social strategy, music, production, and publishing.
Resistance & Ground is the umbrella for that work.
It began in music, with a focus on independence, publishing, artist rights, booking, promotion, and making sure creative people understand the value of what they own.
Since then, it has grown into a broader creative practice built around the same principles: make useful things, protect the work, communicate clearly, and avoid unnecessary complexity.
I still write, record, perform, and produce music. I build websites for artists and small businesses. I develop practical digital tools. I create and manage media across social platforms. I’m especially interested in the places where creative work, technology, operations, and storytelling overlap.
I don’t see those as separate careers.
They are different applications of the same skill set:
